Answer 0108: I would like to know how common it is for parents to take a child out of school when he or she is 12 and is in middle school?

Parents are transferring their children out of public schools and into homeschooling (which in Indiana is the same as a private school) all the time, and at all ages! Many used to wait until the end of a semester or school year, but lately it seems even that practice is changing. Transferring your child to another appropriate method of education should be done as soon as the parent determines it's needed. After all, YOU are the one in charge, and only YOU know what is the best for your child. If a public school isn't working now... why wait until later?
